Senior Will

I, Makayla Ogilvie, leave, to all of the upperclassmen, the responsibility to progress the band forward. I have seen each and every one of you step into your own lane as a leader and mature in ways that even you didn't know were possible. I have faith that you will lead this band into even more greatness. I'd like to thank Mr. Baxter and Mr. Boothe for taking this band under their wing and devoting their time, blood, sweat, and tears into it. I can't wait to see where you take this band to next. My advice to all of you: Time is not your enemy, it's your friend. Reminding you to make every moment count and cherish everything along the way, especially those close to you. I love you all, my band family, and there's nothing you can do about it.

Favorite Memory

It is hard to choose just one favorite memory but band camp and band banquet were two of my top favorite memories. Band Camp was mentally and physically draining but being able to go through that with each other made us that much closer. Plus the jokes and memories that were made during that week are irreplaceable. Band banquet was the time at the end of the year where we would celebrate our accomplishments and send off our seniors. I loved band banquet because we could dance, eat, and just have fun with our band family, the group of people we were most comfortable with.

Post Graduation Plans

I plan to attend Columbia State Community College in the fall, majoring in Nursing and obtain my Associate of Applied Science Degree. Transfer to a four-year University and become certified to pursue a career in Neonatal Nursing.
