I, Sarah Lowe, leave the saxophone section my energy and undying love for you guys. I loved marching and playing with you guys, and I was so pleased to see how the section has grown and thrived over the years. As a leader and, most importantly, your friend I hope I was able to welcome all of you into our band family, share my unmatched passion for band, and help you all have fun and be yourself. I leave the leadership team my leadership advice. Being a leader can be really hard, and leading all of your closest friends is even harder than just being a leader. Always make sure you show everyone respect, not just your staff and leaders but also your peers. Be a good example, be responsible, and don’t be afraid to speak up, but also be the friend and the light that your peers need. Band is not just about winning; it is also about enjoying music and having fun with your friends (but winning is a nice addition for sure). To Mr. Baxter and Mr. Boothe, I leave my gratitude for being amazing directors. I have seen how much you guys care about this band and all the work you put into it. The confidence you have in all of your students is inspiring, and I will forever be thankful for everything you guys have done for me. To the band I leave a sense of pride for our band, dedication and perseverance, and a feeling of belonging and family. We have a great band that excels in marching band and concert band. Only with your hard work and passion for music will the band continue to grow and be successful. It is also very important that the band is a family. It should act as a family for everyone (winds, percussion, and guard) and bring many types of people together into an encouraging, supportive, and close-knit group. The family and memories that you will have in band are irreplaceable and extremely special, so make the most of every moment. I know you will all continue to do great things, and I look forward to seeing the legacy you continue to create. I love you all so much, and I thank you for the most amazing four years.

My favorite memories are playing in the stands at the football games and basketball games. I loved how fun it was and the quality time I got to spend with my section and the other members in the band.
I will be attending Mississippi State University and majoring in aerospace engineering. I will also be a part of the marching band in the fall and the concert band in the spring.
