Senior Will

I, Thomas Hazard, leave to any trumpet player willing to go for it, all the screaming high notes. You will have to put in the work in order to reach them. You can do it! To the entire Trumpet section, I leave extreme confidence. You are the best! Now, make sure everyone else knows that by your hard work and practice. Be confident in your playing abilities! To my brother Andrew, I finally leave you some peace and quiet and no more picking at you. You are a talented musician and you can go as far as you want to with it. Don’t forget that and don’t waste it. This year will be the start of me not being in marching band with you. But, I will be cheering for you from the stands and sidelines every chance I can. I love you bro! To the CHS band I leave this thought. You have something special here. This band program has an amazing history and legacy. Build on it. The feeling of being a family is so awesome. Don’t lose it. You have some amazing band directors. I have been under the direction of several in the two schools. Mr. Baxter and Mr. Boothe are the best around. Listen and learn from them. Finally, I only wish I could have been here my full four years of high school. You guys ARE here. You have more time than I did. So, cherish your time in the CHS Band. Band is like your instrument. You only get out of it what you put into it. Make the most of it! To Mr. Baxter and Mr. Boothe I leave you with my respect and a huge thank you for an amazing senior year. I am looking forward to seeing where this band goes in the years ahead.

Favorite Memory

Post Graduation Plans

I wasn’t sure what to expect transferring in after three years at another school and band program. Not going to lie, it was a little scary. But I was welcomed in and made a part of the band family. It became home and I am so proud to have been a small part of the legacy and tradition of the CHS Band program. Even though it was for only one year, cut short by Covid 19, I have made some lifelong friendships and memories I will treasure forever. I am going to miss you guys!

Going to go to school for industrial maintenance. I will always play music as a hobby or something. Who knows what the future is.
